Clarksville Bridal Show

We had a wonderful time at the Clarksville Bridal Show today. We were so pleased to chat with so many beautiful brides, their friends and family, and area vendors. If you have not put bridal shows on your “to do” list, we highly recommend it. It is the most efficient way to gather lots of information and ideas, not to mention, show specials, door prizes, and other special activities.

Here are some tips for getting the most out of a show.

-Preview the vendors and make note of those that interest you.

-Take a moment to speak to every vendor. While they may not be your first choice, each has a perspective, ideas, and information that could prove valuable. If you get in a pinch for a back-up plan, you will be happy to have explored these avenues before a stressful bump in the road. In addition, this will give you an opportunity to decide if this vendor/venue “feels right”. The best experiences are when you are comfortable and open about your wishes, needs and concerns. This definitely requires the “feels right” vibe.

-Have a list of questions to ask, and don’t be afraid to take notes. No question is off limits. Most vendors are very open and honest about their products and services. This is much more time efficient than waiting until after the show to seek basic answers though email.

-That said, do, by all means, follow up with contacting those vendors and venues in which you are interested. Revisit the brochures and websites, and make note of any other questions you may have. I know I welcome questions, because it helps me update my own communication avenues.

-Last and most importantly, remember it is your special day. There is no right or wrong way to tie the knot. Don’t feel pressured or overwhelmed by what you see at a show. Prioritize what is important to you, and in the end, do what is best for you, your pocketbook, and your SANITY.

Happy planning!
